Terms & Conditions
Operating guidelines and contractual terms for Himalayan pilgrimage expeditions.
1. Booking Confirmation & Payment Terms
A non-refundable advance deposit of 25% per person is required to confirm seat allocation on standard domestic yatra circuits (Char Dham, Adi Kailash), and 35% for international trans-Himalayan circuits (Kailash Mansarovar). The remaining balance must be cleared in full 21 days before departure.
2. High Altitude Medical Responsibility
Pilgrims acknowledge that high-altitude Himalayan journeys involve inherent physiological risks including Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), extreme cold, and remote terrain. All pilgrims must submit a valid medical fitness certificate signed by a registered physician before departure. Rudra Treks reserves the right to decline or halt participation if our medical team determines a pilgrim's health is at critical risk.
3. Force Majeure & Route Alterations
Mountain travel in the Himalayas is subject to unpredictable factors including landslides, border closures, avalanches, military restrictions, flight/helicopter weather groundings, and government orders. In such circumstances (Force Majeure), Rudra Treks reserves the right to alter routes, substitute accommodations, or delay segments for safety reasons. Any additional costs arising from extended stays or emergency rescue are the pilgrim's responsibility.
4. Travel Insurance Requirement
Comprehensive travel and medical insurance with high-altitude emergency helicopter evacuation coverage is strictly mandatory for international Kailash departures and highly recommended for all domestic circuits.
5. Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising out of these terms and pilgrimage contracts shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Rishikesh / Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.
