For Kailash Mansarovar, the official yatra season runs from May to September, with May/June and September offering the clearest skies and pleasant daytime temperatures. For Char Dham, temple portals open around Akshaya Tritiya (late April/May) and remain open until Diwali / Bhai Dooj (late October/November). May-June and September-October are considered the best weather windows.
No passport or foreign visa is required for Indian citizens travelling to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat, as both sacred peaks lie completely within Indian borders in Uttarakhand. However, an Inner Line Permit (ILP), police verification clearance, and medical physical fitness certificate are mandatory, all of which are coordinated directly by Rudra Treks.
Safety is our foremost priority. Our itineraries feature gradual altitude gain schedules with mandatory acclimatization rest days (such as Kyirong/Saga in Tibet or Dharchula/Gunji in Kumaon). Our field leaders carry pulse oximeters to monitor blood oxygen daily, portable oxygen cylinders, emergency gamow hyperbaric bags, and first-aid kits at all times.
We provide 100% pure vegetarian, freshly prepared, hot satvik meals (including options for garlic/onion-free Jain food on request). Accommodations range from premium hotels in cities (Kathmandu, Dehradun, Haridwar) to clean, comfortable tourist guesthouses, Swiss cottage tents, or village homestays equipped with heavy warm bedding in remote Himalayan sectors.
Yes, many of our yatris are senior citizens. We offer tailored assistance including helicopter options for Kedarnath and Char Dham, pony/palki coordination, dedicated helpers, and slower-paced itineraries. We require a basic medical health check-up to ensure cardiovascular suitability for high altitude.
